Advanced POS Layout and Restriction Utilities
POS Extra Utilities helps businesses improve their Point of Sale workflow with useful layout controls and cashier operation restrictions. The app allows administrators to manage cart placement, product display style, drag-to-cart behavior, customer requirements, price change control, discount control, and order line deletion restrictions from configuration. It is useful for retail shops, restaurants, supermarkets, and service counters that need a cleaner POS interface, faster product handling, and better control over cashier actions.
Features
Flexible Cart Position
Administrators can set the POS cart position to left, right, top, or bottom based on the business workflow. This helps cashiers work with a screen layout that is more comfortable and suitable for their counter setup.
Cart Position Switching Control
The app allows administrators to decide whether cashiers can change the cart position from the POS menu. When disabled, the POS always follows the configured default position, giving businesses better control over the interface layout.
Product Grid and List View
Products can be displayed in grid view or list view depending on the selected configuration. Grid view is helpful for visual product selection, while list view is useful when users want a more compact and structured product display.
Drag Products to Cart
The drag-to-cart option lets users drag product cards and add them to the active order. This makes product selection faster and gives cashiers an easy interactive way to build orders.
POS Orderline Action Restrictions
Administrators can restrict price changes, manual discounts, and order line deletion from the POS screen. These controls help prevent unauthorized cashier actions, protect sales margins, and maintain accurate order processing during daily POS operations.

1.) Enable POS Extra Utilities from Settings
The POS Extra Utilities master option is available under the INKERP settings section. Administrators can enable the module from this centralized settings area before configuring POS-specific options, making it easy to control whether the app features should be active.
2.) Configure Main POS Extra Utility Options
The Point of Sale settings include all major utility controls such as customer requirement, price restriction, discount restriction, cart position, product view, and drag-to-cart behavior. Administrators can configure these options according to the store workflow and cashier permissions.
3.) Customer Required Warning in POS
When the customer-required option is enabled, the POS prevents payment until a customer is selected. The cashier receives a clear warning message, helping the business maintain proper customer records before validating the order.
4.) Configure Price, Discount, and Delete Restrictions
The restriction options allow administrators to disable price changes, discounts, and order line deletion from the POS screen. These controls help businesses prevent unauthorized changes and maintain better order accuracy during sales.
5.) Restricted POS Actions on Numpad
When restrictions are enabled, the related POS numpad actions become unavailable for the cashier. Price, discount, and delete controls are disabled, helping ensure that users follow the configured sales rules.
6.) Set Default Cart Position
The default cart position can be selected from the POS configuration. Administrators can choose where the cart should appear when the POS session opens, such as right, left, top, or bottom.
7.) Cart Displayed on the Right Side
The POS cart can be placed on the right side of the product screen. This layout keeps the order summary visible while cashiers browse products from the main product area, making it suitable for standard counter operations.
8.) Enable Cart Position Switching
The cart position switching option gives cashiers permission to change the cart layout from the POS menu. When this setting is enabled, users can adjust the layout during the session without changing backend configuration.
9.) Cart Position Menu in POS
The POS menu provides quick cart position choices such as left, right, top, and bottom. Cashiers can use these options to change the cart layout instantly when switching is allowed by the administrator.
10.) Enable Product View Switching
The product view switching option allows users to change between grid view and list view from the POS menu. This helps cashiers use the product display style that best fits the current sales situation.
11.) Product List View in POS
