Odoo Google Tag Manager

Connect your Odoo website and online store with Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 to automatically track customer activities such as product views, add-to-cart actions, checkout starts, and completed purchases. Configure direct Google tracking and Google Tag Manager from one centralized settings screen while collecting accurate website and eCommerce data for conversion measurement, customer behaviour analysis, marketing optimization, and business reporting.

Features

Direct Google Tag Integration

Configure a direct Google Tag ID from the application settings to connect the website with Google Analytics or Google Ads. The tracking code is loaded automatically across website pages, removing the need for manual template customization. This helps businesses begin collecting website activity and marketing data through a simple configuration.

Google Tag Manager Support

Connect the website with a Google Tag Manager container using its GTM container ID. The module loads the configured container and supports tags, triggers, variables, and custom tracking rules managed from the Google Tag Manager workspace. Marketing teams can update tracking configurations without repeatedly changing website source code.

Google Tag Manager NoScript Support

Enable the recommended Google Tag Manager fallback iframe immediately after the website body begins. This provides additional tracking support when standard JavaScript execution is unavailable or restricted in the visitor’s browser. Administrators can enable or disable the fallback directly from the module settings.

Debug Console Logging

Enable browser console logs to review tag initialization and event tracking during configuration or testing. Developers and administrators can confirm whether tracking scripts and eCommerce events are being triggered correctly.

Exclude Internal Users from Tracking

Prevent website activity generated by signed-in internal users from being included in analytics reports. This keeps administrator, developer, and employee testing activity separate from genuine visitor behaviour. Cleaner data helps businesses evaluate traffic, engagement, and conversions with greater accuracy.

1.) Configure Google Tag Tracking :

Enable Google Tag Tracking from the INKERP settings section and enter the required direct Google tag ID or Google Tag Manager container ID. Administrators can also enable the GTM NoScript iframe, exclude internal users from analytics, and activate console debugging. A warning is displayed when both tracking methods are enabled to help prevent duplicate GA4 tracking.
