Save POS Orders as Quotations
This feature allows POS users to instantly convert any ongoing POS cart into a quotation with a single click. Users can add optional notes, internal remarks, and additional details before saving. The quotation is stored securely in the backend and can be printed immediately if needed.
Load & Restore Quotations Inside POS
Users can quickly retrieve previously saved quotations from the POS using an intuitive loading popup. Before loading, the system displays complete quotation details, including customer name, date, total amount, and status-ensuring full clarity before confirmation. Once loaded, all items, quantities, and prices reappear in the POS cart, allowing smooth editing, updating, or converting into a final order.
Customer-Based Quotation History
The module adds a dedicated Quotations option inside the customer selection popup, enabling POS users to view all quotations related to the selected customer. A searchable list with quotation number, date, amount, and status makes it easy to find the correct quote instantly. This improves customer service by making past quotations accessible without leaving the POS screen.

1.) Enable POS Quotation from General Settings
This screen allows administrators to activate the POS Quotation feature directly from the Odoo General Settings menu. By enabling this option, the system automatically adds quotation capabilities to all POS sessions. This setting ensures that quotation functionality is globally enabled across the POS environment without requiring additional configuration.

2.) POS Quotation Options in Point of Sale Configuration
This configuration panel offers fine-grained control over quotation behavior within POS. Users can enable automatic email notifications when a quotation is saved and define how quotations should be loaded in the POS interface. Whether loading all quotations or customer-specific ones, this setup gives businesses flexibility to tailor workflows based on operational requirements.

3.) Save Quotation Button in POS Interface
A dedicated Save Quotation button is added directly to the POS cart interface, allowing users to save the current order as a quotation in one click. Cashiers can generate quotations without leaving the POS or interrupting their workflow.
4.) Quotation Save Popup with Notes and Actions
When saving a quotation, a popup window appears where users can enter optional notes or comments for internal or customer reference. The popup provides multiple actions such as Save, Save & Print, and Cancel making it easy to generate a quotation quickly while keeping the workflow intuitive and organized. This enhances clarity and communication during the quotation process.
5.) Load Quotation Button Added to POS Actions Menu
This screen introduces a new Load Quotation button directly inside the POS Actions dropdown. Cashiers can quickly access previously saved quotations without leaving the POS interface. This provides faster workflow navigation, especially for businesses that frequently follow up on quotations before completing a sale.
6.) Select Quotation From Smart Dropdown
When loading a quotation, users are presented with a searchable dropdown list of available quotations. Each entry clearly displays the quotation number and customer name, helping users identify the correct quote instantly.
7.) Quotation Details Preview Before Loading
Before confirming, the POS displays a full summary of the selected quotation, including customer, creation date, total amount, and status. This preview ensures transparency and accuracy before loading the quotation into the cart.
8.) Auto-Populate POS Cart With Quotation Items
Once a quotation is loaded, all products, quantities, and prices are automatically filled into the POS cart. A confirmation notification appears, and the cart displays the Related Quotation reference. This seamless transfer ensures a smooth transition from quotation to order without re-entering product lines manually.
9.) Print Receipt With Linked Quotation Reference
After completing payment, the POS receipt includes a clearly visible Related Quotation reference. This ensures complete traceability between the finalized POS order and the original quotation. The feature is valuable for customer transparency, record audits, and after-sales support.
10.) Backend POS Order Shows Linked Quotation
In the POS backend, the generated order includes the associated quotation reference under the Extra Info tab. This helps managers and accountants track which orders originated from quotations. The linkage enhances reporting accuracy and improves business workflow visibility.

11.) POS Quotation Updated to Done After Order Completion
Once the quotation is converted into a POS order, its backend quotation record is automatically updated to Done. This ensures the quotation lifecycle is properly tracked and prevents it from being reused accidentally.

12.) View Customer-Specific Quotations From POS
This screen adds a Quotations shortcut inside the customer menu, allowing POS users to instantly access all quotations linked to a selected customer. It helps cashiers quickly retrieve customer-specific proposals without leaving the POS flow.
13.) Search and Load Quotations for Selected Customer
After choosing the Quotations option, a list of all quotations for the selected customer is displayed with clear details such as quotation number, date, amount, and status. The search bar allows quick filtering, helping users find the exact quotation instantly.
14.) Auto-Filled POS Cart With Customer Quotation Items
Once a customer quotation is loaded, the POS cart automatically displays all line items, quantities, and pricing from the quotation. The customer is assigned, the total is updated, and the Related Quotation reference is shown for full traceability. A confirmation message ensures the user knows the quotation was successfully applied, enabling a fast transition to payment.
