Merge Tasks
The Merge Tasks module enhances task management in Odoo by allowing users to combine multiple tasks into a single, consolidated task within the same project. It intelligently merges key information such as descriptions, deadlines, timesheets, and tags, ensuring no critical data is lost during the process.
Features
Project-Based Merge Validation
The module ensures that only tasks belonging to the same project can be merged, maintaining data integrity and logical consistency. If users attempt to merge tasks from different projects, the system prevents the action and provides a clear validation message.
Seamless Task Consolidation
This feature enables users to merge multiple tasks into one unified task with just a few clicks. All relevant data including task descriptions, deadlines, timesheets, and tags is automatically combined, eliminating the need for manual data transfer.
Smart Validation for Accurate Operations
To maintain proper functionality, the system enforces rules such as requiring at least two tasks for merging. Attempts to merge a single task or incompatible selections trigger validation errors.
