Create Fields in Few Steps
This feature empowers users to quickly add custom fields to MRP forms with minimal effort. By guiding users through a straightforward process, it eliminates the complexity traditionally associated with system customization.
Set Widgets and Attributes
Users can assign specific widgets and attributes to each field, allowing for more dynamic and interactive data entry. This customization ensures that the right type of input is used for each field, improving usability and data accuracy.
Specify Field Location
Fields can be placed precisely where they are most relevant on forms, ensuring a clean, intuitive layout. This capability improves workflow efficiency by presenting critical information at the right moment.

1.) Access Rights for Creating Custom Fields
Users must be assigned to the “Mrp Custom Field” group to create custom fields in MRP. This ensures that only authorized personnel can modify system forms, maintaining security and data integrity.
Navigation : Settings → Users & Companies → User
2.) Create Field Button
Clicking the Create Field button opens a popup form where users can input all the details for a new custom field.
Navigation : Manufacturing Orders → Order
3.) Mrp Custom Field Details
In this view, users provide all necessary field information, including Field Name, Label, Type, Position, Widget, and Extra Properties.
4.) Custom Field Placement
Once created, the custom field appears in the specified position within the form (e.g., after the Product field). This ensures the form layout remains organized and user-friendly.

5.) Field Types
This section lists all available field types, helping users select the appropriate format for their data, from simple text fields to relational fields.

6.) Assign Relation Model
For Many2many fields, users must assign a relation model, defining the linked records. This step ensures relational integrity and proper data association within Odoo.
7.) Set Widget
Users can assign widgets to fields, such as Many2many_tags for Many2many fields. Widgets enhance usability by providing interactive, intuitive data entry controls.
8.) Completed Custom Field
The newly created Many2many field with its assigned widget is now fully functional, seamlessly integrated into the manufacturing order form. Users can immediately use it to capture structured data.
